Call for Special Sessions

Special sessions will be organised at the conference. The conference is calling for special session proposals. All accepted papers in the special sessions will be included in the published conference proceedings.

Special session proposals should be send to Tutorials and Special Sessions Chair, Dr. Xiaodong Li (Email: xiaodong@cs.rmit.edu.au) before the deadline. The notification of acceptance will be sent in time after your special session proposal is received.

Proposals for special sessions should not exceed two pages in length and should contain the following information:

  1. A title of the special session.
  2. Description of the topics the special sessions is intended to focus on.
  3. Organizer(s) and their detailed contact addresses (e-mail and postal addresses, fax, and telephone numbers).

More details for special session organizers:

(1) All special session papers should be prepared according to Springer-Verlag's LNCS style. The length of submitted papers must be no more than 8 pages. For detailed instructions, see paper format http://nical.ustc.edu.cn/seal06/papersubmission/paperformat.htm.

(2) Special session papers should be submitted to the session organizer(s) directly for review. The review process will be coordinated and supervised by the special session organizer(s).

(3) Acceptance/rejection decisions for the special session papers are made and communicated to the authors by the Session Organizer(s). Once the special session papers are accepted, camera-ready versions should be submitted through the conference web page, so that they can be included in the conference proceedings.

(4) All papers should be reviewed by three riviewers. Session organizers can be reviewers.

(5) Every special session normally has 6 papers. If there are fewer than 6 papers in your session, we will merge your session into the regular sessions of SEAL'06. If there are more than 6 papers in your session, two or more sessions will be allocated to you. In any case, paper quality is our first priority.

(6) The deadline for camera-ready copies of accepted papers is the same as that of the regular papers, i.e., July 14, 2006. However, the submission deadline for the special session is decided by the sepcial organizer(s).
